And how many 'net friends have been "promoted" to f2f friends in your life? Quite a few, I'm sure - I've had my fair share over the last fifteen or so years I've been online (pre-Internet at first, in the days of the text-only BBSes with command shell-style interfaces and the 2400 baud dial-up modem; very ol' skool).Matt Kohaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05248128186742412714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19108210.post-1146890886343186612006-05-06T00:48:00.000-04:002006-05-06T00:48:00.000-04:00Yes, KNY, but I do hope the Net never replaces fac...Yes, KNY, but I do hope the Net never replaces face-to-face contact -- but that's a possible subject for a future blog post.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15133620064728357184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19108210.post-1146881402378116562006-05-05T22:10:00.000-04:002006-05-05T22:10:00.000-04:00I've found that the 'net can be a great source of ...I've found that the 'net can be a great source of informationa nd misinformation - but it can also be a great resource for connecting people to people when used correctly. Heck, I'm here, communicating with you, right? ;-) I've made a handful of valuable personal contacts, and even a good friend or two, just poking around online and seeing what there is to see, and being open and responsive.Matt Kohaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05248128186742412714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19108210.post-1146802450174385782006-05-05T00:14:00.000-04:002006-05-05T00:14:00.000-04:00Hi Kitty,'Tis true, we're connected anyway.
