I think it's tragic. And so many thousands of innocent civilians killed only compounds the tragedy.
Even worse, this doesn't even scratch the surface on the numbers of wounded and psychologically traumatized, both civilian and military. This war will be leave an indelible mark on our society much like Vietnam did a generation earlier.
