A Tribute to Michael
In the summer of 2007, Michael was thrilled to be accepted as a member of the Soho Photo Gallery. He had planned to have an exhibit in the autumn of that year, but his illness made it impossible. We are happy to bring his plans to fruition. His show, East Village Portraits, will be on view at the gallery through July 4.

Splendid. I wish I were in New York, or that the exhibit would tour.

My wife and I walked the pilgrimage 15 years ago. Two years later, I lost my older brother and only sibling. That empty place still hurts, is still raw inside me.
I stumbled on this blog doing some research for an article and will visit the gallery next week.
Peace.
Ken -- Thank you for your comment. I've just put Michael's account of his pilgrimage up on Scrib'd. If you search Google for Shikoku Pilgrimage and Michael Thaler, it will come up. In a week or so, I expect to "embed" that account along with some of Michael's other work on this blog. I will also be publishing a book of his poetry and photography. His spirit is very much alive in his works and that helps fill that empty place you describe.
