Seventh Street walk-up
East Village

A good one! Wonderfully crookedy and off kilter, mysterious perspective disappearing out of sight. This one invites looking and then looking again. I may print it to tack up on my office wall if that's OK with you.

Hi FA,

Many thanks, and copy away! This is the somewhat spooky staircase leading up to an East Village karate dojo whose teacher is featured in an earlier post. There's a window admitting light from the left, so the staircase wasn't as foreboding when I took this photo.

Of a spiral staircase made of stone

I dreamt; I don't know why.

I wake at dawn and sit alone --

A bitter, twisted guy.

Thanks for your comment on my blog, Michael. Coming from you it means something.
