If

Matsuri (festival), Sawara City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, Oct. 12, 1996, by Michael

Coming back
to beginner's mind,
casting off
these jaded views,
seeing anew
with the eyes of a child,
All
just a footstep away
If
I hop off this treadmill.

I really like this poem Michael. How are you? Life is treating me well despite it's teeth.

Hi Lone Wolf,

Good to hear from you. I'm feeling OK, glad you are, too.

I know that treadmill well.

Thanks for this lovely reminder.

(My word verification was tryfu. sounds like a new martial art.)

Thanks, Patry. One day I hope to take that step. It'll be the easiest and most difficult thing I've ever done.

Hi Phats,

Welcome back! I'm OK, hope you are, too. I have a blood test coming up, which always rattles me. But so far, so good.

Gorgeous shot, and I enjoyed the poem. I recently attended Brooklyn's sakura matsuri, and I'll be posting photos soon.

Thanks, An. I look forward to seeing your photos. I went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens sakura matsuri some years ago and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing your photos!
