The results are in

My serum calcium level has risen -- a medium-size rise, according to the doctor. As requested, she didn't give me specific numbers. So, my medication dosage has been increased, and she will consult with my endocrinologist Monday to find out if I also need an intravenous drug to manage the calcium levels.
I'm growing very weary of this whole process.
I have lots of major decisions to make about a range of circumstances in my life.

Thanks for letting us know what's going on with you Michael...living with a chronic illness is stressful. I don't but my husband does and I hear him talk about feeling weary too. Then sometimes the weariness just goes away for a time.

Still I wish I could arrange for all good results.

May the friendship of people who know you and people who have never met you
ease some of your weariness, Michael. As always, I'm inspired by your strength.

You are a living example of courage, bold, beautiful and strong. We believe in you, we believe in living Buddhas. Somewhere there is a fucked uo monk thinking of you too.

Weary is a hard word, isn't it? - in some ways harder than pain or fear. Wishing you whatever helps to ease your weariness, Michael, and thinking of you lots. And loving your intensely beautiful pictures of Japan

Thanks on all counts, Jean!

Michael,

I am so sorry I have been away from the internet for awhile due to packing and moving, and I just checked your blog today...I am thinking of you. I hope the increase in meds helps to get this under control. This must be awful for you. All the best,

Kim

Hi Kim,
I understand completely! I suspected as much; I was thinking of contacting you but thought I should wait a while. Drop me a line when you're all settled.
