Vibes

Thanks to those of you who weighed in on my previous post.
It seems my thoughts were interpreted by readers in ways I didn't consciously intend and didn't foresee.
I started off with an observation that readership is decreasing. Then I focused on other aspects of blogging. I didn't intend my post as a lament, but evidently that's the vibe I gave off whether or not I meant to. Fair enough.
So, I'll let the chips fall where they may and thank the readers who commented.

Your last post was a very good observation Michael. I noticed you mention the weather change and that was what poped in my head when I first started reading the post. I also have another. Since my start of reading the Hardcore Zen page, I now read alot more blogs so I comment alot less. But I still visit your page regularly Michael and try to touch base, especially when I find the article extra appealing as the last one.

I think it's good to share these thoughts! Personally, since starting to read blogs about 2 years ago and starting my own 15 months ago, I have never known it so quiet in the blog neighbourhoods where I hang out - in terms of frequency of both posts and comments. I don't really know what this means, though I'm sure that, yes, Spring in US and Europe and people wanting to be outside, has something to do with it - and I certainly wouldn't want to discourage that. As with most things, it seems important to experience and stick with the quiet, less exciting periods, see them as cyclical, try not to take them personally - all easier said than done, of course.

Also, I find myself commenting more on your blog and others that I only found recently than on those I've known and loved for ages - not because my appreciation decreases (on the contrary, in most cases) but just because I've already expressed all the general reasons why I enjoy reading and it seems boring to keep repeating myself.

Hello Jean,

Yes, it all underscores the cyclical nature of things, doesn't it?

The image I've been seeing is the tide ebbing and flowing.

I've got a lot going on inside my head; maybe too much. Where to start? :) Haven't posted much on my own blog lately, even though the blog is still very much an active part of me. I'm not sure what it's about. Spring fever, maybe? People have got an awful lot to deal with right now. Go with the flow ...

Yes, Kitty, I suppose it all goes back to the cyclical nature of just about EVERYTHING.
